KINGS HOTEL-CUSTOMER COMMENTS I cannot say enough good things about the Kings Hotel. Till rooms were large, clean and comfortable and the hotel workers were excellent. They were even able to book several sightseeing trips to different parts of the city for us. Next time I come to London I will certainly be staying there again. Bob smith Manchester, UK: February 2008 The hotel "a restaurant made the best food I have ever tasted. I am still dreaming about their roast beef and potatoes. I had it for lunch and dinner almost every day I was there. I wanted to have it for breakfast too, but it wasn"t on the breakfast menu. The restaurant was a little expensive and the waiters were a bit careless but I still think the hotel was great. Rachel Jones New York, USA: December 2007 I just want to tell visitors something about the swimming pool, at the Kings Hotel. When I was there, the water was very dirty, almoshgreen. It really made me feel sick. When my drink fell in the water I asked the worker if I could have another one. After waiting for half an hour he still had not brought me one so I returned to my room.... At least the room was very nice. Michael Palin Sydney, Australia: August 2007 This time last year I was in London for the first time and stayed at this hotel. I found the workers there to be very friendly and helpful. The manager kindly gave me directions to the London Museum and Big Ben and one time he even had a worker take me to the train station entrance. My room was also wonderful and from the window Icould see the Thames River. Ma Li Beijing, China: June 2007 £6 for a cup of coffee in the cafe! £ 3 for a postcard in the gift shop! £ 33 for a T-shirt from the clothes store! I will never be coming back here. That"s for certain. Julie Whinger Paris, France: May 2007

Somebody might say, "I want to be a big fish, as big as Bill Gates, in a big pool, as large as Microsoft that is a big company in the USA." However, we all know it is impossible for a green hand (新手). Then you have to think about the problem heavily. Certainly if you choose to take either of the two sides, you will have your chance to succeed. Now the problem is which can provide more chances for you. I choose to be a big fish in a small pool. A well-known university may provide a high starting point for you, but a common college offers you chances to practice many skills. During the process, you may improve yourself, try to know your strong point and find your potential (潜力). What"s more, without so many rules in common colleges, if you are really talented, you have more chances to climb to a higher point. The last point, being a big fish only in a small pool can give a green hand confidence. It is quite important for success. Certainly, you should not be confined (局限) to your small pool and be satisfied with being a big fish there. You should always dream to be a big fish in a big pool.

No one in my family can understand why so many of our bikes have disappeared. My mum told me 11 bikes of my family had been stolen (被偷了). I think it is funny, like my family has become a small shop giving out bikes for free. The number of missing bikes is growing, so I can"t help worrying. Is there someone who is crazy about my family"s bikes? Maybe he minks our bikes are the most beautiful ones around. I often leave my bike somewhere and return to find that it has disappeared. Nobody knows where the missing bike has gone as if it has grown wings and flown away. One day last year, I locked my bike near our flat and went upstairs to get something. Thirty minutes later, it was gone. My mum happened (碰巧) to see it on the street recently, but it was no longer mine. The thief bad sold it to someone else. I really hate the thieves. Sometimes I calm down and try to understand why the thieves act as they do. Maybe they lost their jobs and need money to support their families. But what they do really hurts others. Nobody has the right (权利) to hurt others for his own sake. Everyone in the world is connected. One person"s action can have a great effect on another"s life. I wish the thieves would stop taking my family"s bikes. I wish the thieves would stop hurting my family.
