compared to wisdom, money is more important because you can use money to buy food, however, you cannot use intelligence to buy food directly. consider this situation: if you are very tired and very hungry, what's the fastest way to make you feel better? of course food and shelter. thus, you can use money to fulfill your necessities, yet you can't really obtain things to eat just because you are smart.
money is the pass （通行证）in this world. if you have money, then you can do many things, but of course you cannot obtain everything by using money. yet if you don't have money, you can't do many things. consequently, money is more important than everything else if you want to survive in this world. you need money to buy food; you need money to have a place to live, and you need money to keep on living. if you have a shortage of money, then you will sooner or later starve (unless you become a begger of course).
wisdom can earn you more money, yet if in the first place you don't even have money, then money is more important than wisdom, because you have to start off somewhere, and if you don't have money when you start off, how can you live well? money equals food in many cases, and food is as significant to human beings as gas is to cars. hence, you can see the importance of money.
