小题1:A
小题1:C
小题1:D
解析

小题1:A 句中it is like它像什么……。
B项leave them alone 表示“让它们独自留下”;C项put them up 表示“把他们穿上”;D项throw them away表示“把它们扔掉”,以上答案显然均不符合文章意思,而A项hang them up 正是“把衣服挂上”的意思。
(They may go on and on about what a sweet baby you were. You have no choice but to listen.)显然,你会对此而抱怨,但家长们仍不以为然(… your parents won’t change their minds.),所以本题答案为B。

(Eat fewer snacks and leave room for your meals.)。
从四个选项中,我们可以看到D项符合饭后可做的事,A项do the  cooking  表示“煮饭”,B项lay the table表示“摆餐具、饭桌”均发生在饭前,C项buy  some snacks

The first Earth Hour was held in 2007 in Sydney, Australia when 2.2 million individuals(个体) and more than two thousand businesses turned their lights off for one hour to take a stand against climate change. Only a year later Earth Hour had grown into a global event with more than 50 million people across 35 countries and territories(行政区)participating(参加). Global landmarks such as the Sydney Harbour Bridge, CN Tower in Toronto, Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, and Rome’s Colosseum, all stood in darkness, as symbols of hope for a cause that grows more urgent(紧急) by the hour. All living things on the earth need other living things to live. Nothing lives alone. Most animals must live in a group, and even a plant grows close together with others of the same kind. Sometimes one living thing kills another, one eats and the other is eaten. Each kind of life eats another kind of life in order to live, and together they form a food chain(食物链).Some food chains are simple, while others are not. But all food chains begin with the sun, and all food chains become broken up if one of the links disappears.
All life needs sunlight to live on. But only plants can use sunlight directly. Plants are“factories”.They make food from sunlight, water and things in the soil and air.
Plants feed all other living things. Animals can only use the sun’s energy after it has been changed into food by plants. Some animals feed directly on plants, others eat smaller animals. Meat-eating animals are only eating plants indirectly.
What about human beings? We are members of many food chains. We eat wheat, rice, vegetables, fruits and so on. We also eat meat and drink milk. But men often break up the food chains. They kill wild animals. They also make rivers, lakes and seas dirty. When these rivers, lakes and seas are polluted, the fish in them cannot be eaten. If men eat the fish, they will get strange diseases.
Each form of life is linked to all others. Breaking the links puts all life in danger.
