be for赞成; be against反对; with sb和某人在一起。根据but don"t understand you.
Many people will step in your life, but only….
A young girl, standing in the wind, was__10____ in playing her violin.
It was the golden season. I could see the yellow leaves…. 又因为后面有on the cool ___5_故选D
A young girl, standing in the wind可知当时的天气是有风的。故选A
小题8:get up起床; get off下车; get sb. down意为“使人泄气;沮丧, 使人疲倦”; get over克服。
小题9:grow into成长为;enter当“进入“讲时不跟into连用;run into撞到。
小题10:grow into成长为;enter当“进入“讲时不跟into连用;run into撞到。Lost in the music“沉浸在琴声中” be lost in sth. be interested in对…… Lost in the music, I didn"t know that I had been ___12….故选A
根据we didn"t know each other….
I had been ___12___ there for so long 因为有for so long所以排除BD,因为它们不能与持续性动词连用。
根据when I was listening carefully,和the girl came over to me. 故选A
I came here to see my grandmother, but now I must leave可知小姑娘即将离开,故脸上闪现出悲伤的神色。
I once played very badly.
Three boys and three girls were going to Fort Lauderdale and when they boarded the bus, they were carrying sandwiches and wine in paper bags, dreaming of golden beaches as the gray cold of New York vanished behind them.
As the bus passed through New Jersey, they began to notice Vingo, He sat in front of them, dressed in a plain,ill-fitting suit, never moving, his dusty face masking his age. He kept chewing the inside of his lip a lot, frozen into some personal cocoon of silence.
Deep into the night, outside Washington, the bus pulled into Howard Johnson"s,and everybody got off except Vingo. He sat rooted in his seat, and the young people began to wonder about him, trying to imagine his life:perhaps he was a sea captain,a runaway from his wife,an old soldier going home. When they went back to the bus,one of the girls sat beside him and introduced herself.
"We"re going to Florida,” she said brightly, “I hear it"s really beautiful.”
“It is,”he said quietly,as if remembering something he had tried to forget.
"Want some wine?" she said. He smiled and took a swig.  He thanked her and once again returned to his silence. After a while, she went back to the others, and Vingo nodded in his sleep.
In the morning, they awoke outside another Howard Johnson"s.And this time Vingo went in.  The girl insisted that he join them.  He seemed very shy, and ordered black coffee and smoked nervously as the young people chattered about sleeping on beaches. When they returned to the bus,the girl sat with Vingo again, and after a while, slowly and painfully,he told his story. He had been in jail in New York for the past four years, and now he was going home.
“Are you married?”
“I don"t know.
“You don’t know?” she said.
“Well, when I was in jail I wrote to my wife,”he said. “I told her that I was going to be away a long time, and that if she couldn"t stand it.if the kids kept asking questions,if it hurt too much, well she could just forget me, I"d understand. Get a new guy,I said she"s a wonderful woman, really something and forget about me. I told her she didn"t have to write me for nothing.  And she didn"t.  Not for three and a half years.”
"And you’re going home now,not knowing?”
“Yeah,”he said shyly. “Well, last week, when I was sure the parole (假释) was coming through, I wrote her again.  We used to live in Brunswick, just before Jacksonville, and there’s a big oak (橡树) tree just as you came into town. I told her that if she"d take me back, she should put a yellow handkerchief on the tree, and I"d get off and come home,  If she didn"t want me, forget it, no handkerchief, and I"d go on through.”
"Vow,” the girl exclaimed. "Wow.”
She told the others, and noon all of them were in it, caught up in the approach of Brunswick, looking at the pictures Vingo showed them of his wife and three children. The woman was handsome in a plain way,the children still unformed in the much-handled snapshots.
Now they were 20 miles from Brunswick, and the young people took over window seat on the right side, waiting for the approach of the great oak tree. The bus acquired a dark, hushed mood, full of the silence of absence and lost years. Vingo stopped looking, tightening his face into the ex-con"s mask, as if fortifying himself against still another disappointment.
Then Brunswick was ten miles, and then five. Then, suddenly, all of the young people were up out of their seats, screaming and shouting and crying, doing small dances of joy. All except Vingo.
Vingo sat there stunned, looking at the oak tree. It was covered with yellow handkerchiefs,20 of them,30 of them, maybe hundreds,a tree that stood like a banner of welcome billowing in the wind. As the young people shouted, the old rose and made his way to the front of the bus to go home.

Happiness is for everyone. You don’t need to care about those people who have beautiful houses or those who have nice cars and a lot of money and so on. Why? Because those who have big houses may often feel lonely and those who have cars may want to walk on the country roads at their free time.
In fact, happiness is always around you if you put your heart into it. When you are in trouble at school, your friends will help you; when you study hard at your lessons, your parents are always taking good care of your life and your health; when you get success, your friends will say congratulations to you; when you do something wrong, people around you will help you to correct it. And when you do something good to others, you will feel happy, too. All these are your happiness. If you notice a bit of them, you can see that happiness is always around you.
Happiness is a feeling of your heart. When you are poor, you can also be very happy, When you meet with difficulties, you can say loudly you are very happy, because you have more chances to challenge yourself. A firm handshake is key to interview success. As any serious job-hunter knows, it helps to dress smartly and smile at that all-important interview. But research has showed that a firm handshake is what really matters when it comes to impressing potential employers.
The US research looked at 98 undergraduates taking part in mock (模拟) interviews with businesses. As each undergraduate was graded on their overall performance, five "handshake raters" also marked them on their grasp, strength, duration, vigor and eye contact.
Professor Greg Stewart, from the University of Iowa, who led the study, said those who scored highly with the handshake raters were also considered to be the most hirable by the interviewers. Students with " wimpy" shakes were judged to be more timid and less impressive.
The study also found women with a firm handshake were likely to be evaluated more favorably than their male counterparts.
Professor Stewart said: "We"ve always heard that interviewers make up their mind about a person in the first two or three minutes of an interview. But we found that the first impression begins with a handshake that sets the tone for the rest of the interview. We don"t consciously remember a person"s handshake but it is one of the first non-verbal clues we get about the person"s overall personality, and that impression is what we remember."
Women were less likely to have a highly rated handshake, partly because traditionally they shake hands less than men. But when women did possess a firm handshake, they were likely to be evaluated more favorably than their male counterparts.
Body language experts warn, however, that the firmness needs to be just right, - as an over enthusiastic "bone crusher" handshake can indicate self-importance, a controlling personality and a lack of trustworthiness.
The handshake is thought to have originated in medieval Europe as a way for kings and knights to show that they did not intend to harm each other and possessed no hidden weapons.
