Harvey is 86 years old .He has just run the eleven kilometres of Boston Marathon(波士顿马拉松).It took him one hour and fifteen minutes to run the eleven kilometres .After his running ,he went to the hospital centre.The nurse was surprised(惊讶的)and pleased to see that his blood pressure(血压) was normal(正常的).She told him that his bbood pressure was very good.Then she said,“l wish mine was as good as yours.”
Harvey is known as the great grandfather of the Boston Marathon .He ran all the 42 kilometres of the Marathon 61 times.This year was the second time that he has cut back(削减) and run only part of it.Harvey holds the record for running more Boston Marathon than anyone else.
Thousands of people cry “Come on "to him as he runs .Today an 11-year-old boy shouted to Harvey,“Hey ,Mr Harvey .You are a great man .”Harvey smiles and thanks people as he runs .“lt's wonderful ." He said ,“People come out to shake my hands.l am welcomed by thousands of people.l think a lot of them thought l ran the whole race .And maybe they congratulate because they know me after all these years and they don't know the other runners”
