Deng Yaping,born in 1973,once a national pingpang athlete ,is only 1.50 meters high.

When she was young, she had to face the fact that no sports school admitted her due to her height. After years of painful training, she finally won a place for herself in pingpang circle.
After becoming a member of the national team, she carried off the Olympic Champion for 4 times. She had to endure great physical suffering for the honour of motherland.
Though everyone believed that she was a success, she didn't rest on her laurels. She said, "For me, the world champion is a slam(满贯), and the doctor's degree of Cambridge is another slam." In spite of all hardships, she persevered in her studies. Her tutor was astonished at her excellent results, and said, "Miss Deng worked a miracle and rewrote the history of Cambridge. She is the first Doctor among sports stars."
