student 1: A good-looking appearance is simply a letter of recommendation. The reason for this is : the role that it can play in social interaction, competition and job-seeking etc. can never be underestimated.
student 2: A handsome face is not the key to success. Outward appearance and inner virtues are of equal importance.
My opinion : Different societies, cultures or countries have their own individual standard on beauty. Whether it be the beauty that relates to the visual appearance or to the ever-present inner virtues, these definitions on beauty have their own truth in it.
