最近在忙外文翻译,我怎么翻都觉得别扭,大家帮个忙.The hidden side of cities—towards three-dimensional land planning.还有这一句,Vertical growth of cities into the ground is still to be developed,in particular for transport,storage of goods and geothermal exploitation.尤其是这一句Vertical growth of cities into the ground ,也翻不通.

the hidden side of cities可以翻译成“城市所隐藏的一面”,但文学上来讲有些罗嗦,所以你可以译“‘隐藏’的城市”,将”隐藏'加引号可达到吸引读者而又不误导读者的效果.有"未被开发"之意.
所以如下
“隐藏”的城市——走入三维立体土地设计.城市在土地上的纵向发展仍有广阔的前景,特别是在交通运输、货物储存、和地热开发.
这里的“Vertical growth of cities into the ground ”指的是在土地面积有限的情况下,城市要想尽可能地被利用,不是横向的平面发展,而是竖向的立体发展,简单的说就是“用相同面积的土地,建十座平房住的人多,还是建一座楼房住的人多?”显然vertical growth 就是指这样竖向的发展.
记得翻译时要结合实际.
