答案
The government has put the law against smoking in the public places into effect, which is applauded by most of the Chinese. Smoking cigarettes is more dangerous than we may think! Cigarettes contain poisonous chemicals that may cause a range of health problems. Smokers often cough and cannot breathe well. They may get cancer, especially of the lung and mouth. However, smokers are not the only ones in danger when smoking in the public places, because the smoke may be breathed in by the people surrounding them, which can do harm to their children and wives, or even lead to the pregnant women’s abortion. Every year, in China, thousands of people die of smoking, including smokers and non-smokers. It’s time for us to quit smoking, for the sake of ourselves, our kids and whoever else we love and love us. |

短文概括(共1小题,满分5分) One day, an American Indian found an eagle’s egg and put it into the nest of a chicken. The little eagle hatched with the chickens and grew up with them. All its life, the eagle thought it was a chicken and did what the chickens did. It searched in the dirt for seeds and insects to eat. It could only fly no more than a few feet off the ground. After all, that’s how chickens were supposed to fly. The eagle never noticed that it was different from the chickens. Years passed. And the eagle grew very old. One day, it saw a magnificent bird far above in the cloudless sky. It flew high and fast in the sky with its strong golden wings. Even the powerful winds could not stop it. “What a beautiful bird!” said the eagle to its neighbor, “What is it?” “That’s an eagle-the master of the birds,” the neighbor told the eagle. “It’s extraordinary! I want to fly as high as it does,” said the eagle. “Don’t give it a second thought. You are just a chicken. You could never be like it,” said the neighbor. So the eagle never gave it a second and it died thinking it was a chicken. Do you feel sympathetic towards the eagle? If so, give a second thought for who you are and who you want to be. Never let your life pass without realizing your full potential(潜力)and pursuing your dream. 【写作内容】 以约30词概括短文的要点 【写作要求】 不得照抄原文句子 |
The wave of panic buying 抢盐风波 Many people in China rushed to store as much iodized salt(含碘食盐)as possible. This trend has led to grocery store shelves being ransacked over the past several days. "I went looking for salt in the supermarket, stores and street markets, and it"s all sold out." It all stems from the rumor that iodized salt could help ward off radiation poisoning spreading from Japan"s Fukushima Daiichi power plant. Consumers also worried that the nuclear plumes might spread to China by air and sea, contaminating food sources, including salt taken from the sea. The wave of panic buying spread quickly throughout the country, driving up salt prices by five to ten fold(涨到五到十倍)in some cities. Even regions rich in salt production, like Jiangxi Province face sudden shortages. Local authorities have stepped in to stabilize the market. As well, state-owned salt companies have been urged to increase their supply. Facing expanding market demand, distribution centers like this one in Beijing have taken extra measures to ensure they are well-prepared. Wang Yun, Beijing Salt Industry Corporation, said, "Our storage reserves can guarantee a two-month supply for the Beijing market." Measures are being taken to prevent panic buying. Health authorities and experts have begun informing the public that the rumor of salt"s protection against radiation is "totally unfounded"(完全是无稽之谈). The public is being urged to be more rational when buying salt. 读写任务(共l小题,满分25分) 阅读下面的短文,然后按照要求写一篇150词左右的英语短文。 No doubt the planet is warming. Over the last century, the temperature has risen by around one degree Fahrenheit. It’s reported that the global temperatures will rise by 3-10 degrees Fahrenheit—enough to have the polar caps almost melted. If the ice caps melt, buildings, homes and even lives will be under water. While we know about global warming, what can we do to save the planet? The answer is simpler than supposed. You don’t have to go miles away to protest, or spend much money. Here are several simple steps to begin with. Firstly, plant a tree.Trees , when fully grown, will keep the plante cooler. Secondly, reduce pollution. Sometimes as simple as walking instead of taking the car will reduce pollution. Besides stop pollution, you are giving yourself exercise. So whenever you get into your car, just ask yourself, “do I have to make this journey by vehicle?” When you get a little cold in winter, put a jumper on and don’t adjust the heating. The extra heat produced by homes also affect the planet. Finally, reduce, reuse and recycle. Only buy what you need and reuse whatever you can, like containers and paper, and recycle what you cannot reuse. If everyone stuck to these rules, we would be doing a great thing by protecting the Earth. It is our next generation that will feel the effects. |
