I am a senior 3 student in Guangzhou and it was quite convenient for my father to drive his favorite motorcycle to send me to school every day before the ban on motorcycles.
As is known to all, all the motorcycles have been banned since Jan 1st.2007. To be honest, motorcycles have several advantages — they are swift, convenient, cheap, and the poor laid-off workers can make a living by driving motorcycles. On the other hand, there is no doubt that the ban on motorcycles can reduce air pollution, traffic accidents, robberies and so on.
All in all, there are many more advantages than disadvantages with the ban motorcycles. |

Honesty is one of the most treasured traditional values in China. The children are taught to be honest when they are very young. At schools the students are also instructed to be honest.
However, with the development of society, we often hear complaints about dishonesty. Reports with the theme of dishonesty often appear in the media. For example, some people try to get rich and live a comfortable life. But they do not work hard honestly, instead they cheat others. They sell something quite ordinary at a very high price. Some people"s delaying paying back the loan can serve as another example. Some people, including some college students, get loan from the bank, and promise to pay within, say, 3 years. However, they don"t do that.
The dishonest people sometimes can get benefit from their behaviors. So some people assert that dishonesty can bring people benefit, while honesty only makes people suffer. Is that so? Definitely not. It is always true that honesty is the best policy. It pays to be honest. The cheater selling "the treasure" mentioned above will surely be disclosed and punished some day.
On the contrary, if he had been honest, neither the buyer nor he himself would have suffered. The people who do not return money in time will sooner or later become infamous, and will not get the money from others again. If he had acted differently, he would have earned respect and trust, meanwhile, the bank would not have suffered from loss.

I found that my way of learning English that I formed from middle school still works today. By listening to tapes and imitating the speakers one can improve his pronunciation within a short time. By reciting classic essays one can enrich their language as well as enlarge their vocabulary. As a non-English major， I like to set aside a certain period of time for English learning every day， usually an hour or at least half an hour. I utilize this precious time by listening to tapes and imitating their content and then reciting the short passages I like. To be frank， “Crazy English” has always been my favorite. This is definitely not intended to flatter. Instead of dividing my attention between too many materials， I’d rather concentrate on one particular resource at a time such as CE， not only because of its abundant content and native English， but also because of the benefits it has brought to me through intensive reading， listening and reciting， I believe that studying English by using these intensive methods will help you to get twice the result with half the effort.

But in these days of far-extended trade, there is no doubt that advertisement is necessary to make the existence of even first-class goods known. And even goods that are already well known must still be advertised.
