Most of the students are in favor of employing a foreign teacher. They think with the help of a foreign teacher, we can learn standard and real English. With a foreign teacher, it will be easier for us to improve listening and.speaking. Also, more students may become interested in English. However, other students don"t agree. They say that the foreign teacher may not understand Chinese school education well and perhaps don"t know how to teach Chinese students. Another thing they are worried about is that some students even can"t follow the teacher in class, which might make it even more difficult for them to learn English.
