The phrase “catch-22” comes from a book of the same title by the American writer Joseph Heller published in 1961. Catch-22 is a book of black humor. The author uses silly and even surreal(超现实的)events. The story takes places in a bomber base in Italy during World War II. The main character, Captain Yossarian wants to leave the war.
