其实这就是the的用法问题.
当有the时,表示特指,即②句中the students特指我们班上的学生,要用the特指.
不加the就是不表特指.
例：the number of ants is huge. 蚂蚁的数量很多.
the number of ants in China is huge. 中国的蚂蚁的数量很多.
