Let's Go Fishing
Jamie was a boy who did not have a hobby.He used to say that he was too busy or too young.He did not take part in any games with his friends.Instead,he watched a lot of television and played too many computer games.He didn't want to do anything else.
One day his grandfether came to visit.His grandfather saw that Jamie had no hobby.He knew this was not a good way for a young boy to grow up.
"Why don't you have a hobby?"asked Jamie's grandfather."Is there nothing you would have fun doing?"
Jamie thought about it for a while.He had always wanted to go fishing,but had no one to teach him."Yes,Grandpa,"said Jamie."I would love to learn how to fish.There is a river near here,and I see many people fishing there on my way to school.Will you teach me how to fish?I would love to have a hobby like that."
His grandfather was happy was happy.He smiled at his grandson and said,"Of course!I would love to teach you how to fish.When I get home,I will send for a fishing rod for you.I will send for some books too.When I come for my next visit,you and I will go fishing.Imagine the huge fish we will catch.Imagine the fun we will have!"
