请教几个在雅思考题阅读当中的语法问题,真的很想提高语法,多谢大家了!

a study has shown that, by the age of 3, most children have the potential to understand about 1000 words- most of the language they will use in their ordinary conversation for the rest of their lives.(请问这个里面为什么不是“the most children”,因为我觉得应该加“the”代指三岁之前的儿童,还有一点是为什么“conversation" 后面为什么不加“s”)

the human personality is formed during the first of two years of life (为什么这个里面不是lives?

请问这两个空格里面应该填什么,是life 还是lives?： children's curiosity can be suppressed during the secong years of ()  / children's curiosity can be suppressed during the secong years of their ()

a region with a rapidly growing population ,在这句话中为什么不是rapid

By the time she has finished her work her son is asleep,这句话当中为什么不在work后面加逗号?

Based on his investigations of sediment from the delta lagoons,xxxxxxxxx.这句话中为什么不在sediment前面加the?

the most 是最高级表最多,most 是大多数的意思,为什么要用 the most?这里没有要比较的意思,conversation是谈话,交流,不可数名词,为什么要加s?
看谓语动词 is 就知道是单数,第二个空children's对应的就是lives
rapidly修饰growing,growing修饰population
by the time已经起到这个作用了
为什么要加the?有必要强调sediment吗?
 
雅思阅读中没有必要太纠结这些小东东,只需要看题目寻找答案的能力.不过可以看出你的语法确实比较弱,英文单词中的一词多义,可数不可数名词之类的都是很基础的东西.估计你平常比较少阅读或者看英文报刊或杂志,你的英语语感不强,否则以上的问题都不会存在了.
