我对这个翻译不理解.
我想知道every
language but
one这个结构是什么意思?but作介词相当于except,除了……之外,这里该如何理解.另外这个one指代哪一种language我也没有从上下文中找到.

yourself short对应的中文是“低估自己”,后面那个by在句子中是什么含义?这个我也一直搞不懂.
总之这个句子的翻译我一点也不明白,而且句子结构我也不理解,为什么要用by,为什么后面用every...but...,我觉得意思都联系不到一块去啊,希望翻译高手能把这个句子从结构上拆开翻译,我希望的答案不是这句话的翻译,而是希望能告诉我为什么.另外回答一下我的问题.
