小题1:考查副词:A. back向后,B.forward向前,C.down向下,D.up 向上,the mountain top应在平地上的村民们的上方,故用up。选D
小题2:考查名词:A. flowers花,B.ice and snow冰雪,C.green trees 绿树,D.leaves树叶,从下文可以知道,很少有登攀者登临山顶,可见山峰很高,已不可能有花草树木;如若仅是rocks也并不beautiful,故应为 ice and snow,在阳光下闪闪发光,既美丽又危险。
小题4:考查副词:A. even甚至,B.never从不,C.seldom很少,D.ever曾经,没有人曾经爬山走北路,选D
小题5:考查形容词:A. different不同的, B. unique独特的,C.same同样的,D.easy容易的, 前两句讲到前人爬山都走南路,而不爬北路,就是因为其更为艰难险阻,另外15空后面一句讲到the climb was painful,可见 A项比 B项更恰当。A
Bonatti was not giving up判断,绿色的信号表示他要继续爬。选B
小题9:考查词组:A. turning back回来,B.moving up向上,C.staying away离开,缺席,躲开D.keeping on保持,这两题的选择需联系到下一小节的内容。 选A
小题11:考查动词:A.cheered欢呼,B.laughed笑,C.whispered低语,D.sighed叹气,绿灯亮了,Bonatti将继续爬山,山下的人们为之欢欣鼓舞。选A
小题13:考查形容词:A. yellow黄色的,B.blue蓝色C.green绿色,D.red红色,本句开头用again,再根据前面的“he would light a green signal”可知,此处为green。选C
小题14:考查动词:A. woke up醒来,B.turned up出现,C.got up起床,D.looked up抬头看,后面一句为could not see the top,所以此处指抬头看。
小题16:考查动词:A. training训练,B.applying利用,C.planning 计划,D.asking问,根据下文的“Was the training enough ”可知,此处应为training。选A
选A
小题19:考查副词:A. ahead前面,B.up向上,C.down向下,D.to到,到达了山顶,然后要下山,所以此处用down。

Richard Wagner was a German musician has been a very controversial(有争议的) person, but he has gained great fame by writing opera, a form of performance combining singing, music on instruments, and drama.
While he wrote excellent music, many people think his operas are too dark and serious, lacking the fun common in operas written before his time.
Wagner, on the other hand, thought the opera of his time was too simple. He wanted to make opera a serious form of art that combined drama and music to tell deep stories that would have a strong effect on the audience.
Some people thought Wagner’s new kind of music was too different from the operas they were used to hearing.Wagner agreed with them.In fact, he didn’t call his works “operas” at all, using instead a German word that means “Musical Festival” or “Musical play”.
While many people today still do not like Wagner’s operas, they cannot deny that Wagner has had a lot of influence on opera as a form of art.Wagner invented the tradition of turning off the lights before starting a play.He also was the first person to make the whole audience sit down for an entire play.Today, almost all operas are performed in this manner.
Wagner as a man was even more controversial than Wagner as a writer of music. He hated Jewish people, and made many people angry, which we would today think of as evil. Some would say he was a good musician, while others would say that he was a bad musician. But it would be difficult to say he was not an important person in music and in the world.
小题1:Which of the following best expresses the main idea of the passage?

As a young social worker in a New York City psychiatric clinic, I was asked to see Roz, a 20-year-old woman who had been referred to us from another psychiatric clinic. It was an     referral in that no information was received     her first appointment. I was told to “play it by ear”, and to     what her problems were and what she needed.
an examination to go on, I saw Roz as an unhappy, misunderstood young woman who hadn’t been listened to in her earlier treatment. Her family situation was unpleasant. I didn’t see her as disturbed,       rather as lonely and misunderstood. She responded so     to being heard. I encouraged her to start a life worth living — to find a job, a satisfying place to live and new relationships. We hit it off well, and she     making important changes in her life.
The records from the previous psychiatric clinic arrived a month after Roz and I began our successful work together. That had not been my experience with Roz at all so I decided to forget those pieces of paper. I never treated her as if she had that “hopeless” treatment. I did find out about the horrors for Roz of the hospitalization, of being drugged, separated and abused. I also learned a lot from her about     such deeply and unforgettably shocking circumstances.
First Roz found a job, then a place to live away from her difficult     . After several months of working together, she introduced me to her husband-to-be, a successful businessman who adored her.
When we     our treatment, Roz gave me the gift of a silver bookmark and a note that said, “Thank you for believing and encouraging me.”

That year, in the local school, there was a new math teacher, as well as some new pupils. One of the new kids was the stupidest child that anyone had ever seen. It made no difference how quickly or how slowly they tried explaining numbers to him; he would always end up saying something enormously stupid. Like two plus two was five, seven times three was twenty-seven, or a triangle had thirty corners...
Before this boy arrived, math lessons had been the most boring of all. Now they were great fun. Encouraged by the new teacher, the children would listen to the pieces of nonsense spouted by the new kid, and they would have to correct his mistakes.
Whenever the new teacher asked questions, the stupid kid would stand up but made the wrong answers, the other students all wanted to be the first to find his mistakes, and then think up the most original ways to explain them. To do this they used all kinds of stuff: sweets, playing cards, oranges, paper planes, etc. It didn"t seem like any of this bothered the new kid.
However, little Lewis was sure that it was bound to make him feel sad inside. Lewis was sure he would see him crying. So,one day, he decided to follow the new kid home after school.
