That cold January night, I was growing sick of my life in San Francisco. There I was, walking home at one in the morning after a tiring practice at the theatre. With the first performance only a week 1 , I was still learning my lines. I was having 2 dealing with my part-time job at the bank and my acting at night at the same time. As I walked, I thought seriously about 3 up both acting and San Francisco. City life had become too much for me. As I walked down 4 streets under tall buildings, I felt very small and cold. I began running, both to keep 5 and to keep away from any possible 6 . Very few people were still out except a few sad-looking homeless people under blankets. About a block from my apartment, I heard a sound behind me. I 7 quickly, half 8 to see someone with a knife or a gun. The street was empty. All I saw was a shining streetlight. Still, the noise had made me 9 , so I started to run faster. Not until I reached my apartment building and unlocked the door did I realize 10 the noise had been. It had been my 11 falling to the sidewalk. Suddenly I wasn"t cold or tired anymore. I ran out of the door and back to 12 I"d heard the noise. Although I 13 the sidewalk anxiously for fifteen minutes, my wallet was 14 to be found. I was about to give up the search when I heard the garbage truck pull up to the sidewalk next to me. When a voice called from the 15 ,"Alisa Camacho?" I thought I was 16 . How could this man know my name? The door opened, and out jumped a small red-haired man with an amused look in his eyes."Is this what you"re looking for?" he asked, 17 up a small square shape. It was nearly 3 a.m. by the time I got into bed. I wouldn"t get much 18 that night, but I had gotten my wallet back. I also had gotten back some 19 of city life. I realized that the city couldn"t be a bad place as long as people were 20 to help each other. |

The whole school was filled with an English learning atmosphere. A series of activities was held. There were handwriting activities, story writing, English songs, role playing in English, and so on, all the teachers and students were very happy. They spoke English, sang English songs and enjoyed all the activities. Handwriting was for the students in lower grades. Although most of them couldn"t write so well, they were all very careful about it. In the show window, there were a lot of colorful handwritten papers. When I got off the plane, I took photos of the blue sky and white clouds along the way. After two weeks, I returned to Shanghai. Much to my surprise, the blue sky in Shanghai that I liked before was not as blue as that in the US. I couldn"t help wondering what had happened. A few days later, I went to tour Waitan (a famous tourist attraction in Shanghai) by the Huangpu River with some of my friends. There we saw five Ferrari sports cars by the side of the road. The red and yellow cars looked so nice that everyone was looking at them. However, when I turned my head, I noticed the sky over Waitan, I was shocked to find that the buildings in the Lujiazui area on the other side of Huangpu River could hardly be seen. It was then that I realized that Ferrari cars could be bought with money, but a blue sky couldn"t. Shanghai is an important economic (经济的) and trade center in China.
