将主动语态的状语从句改写成分词短语,基本上是：1.认出从句 -- 2.去掉从句引导词和主语 -- 3.找到动词谓语并将其改写为ing形式 -- 4.用逗号隔开它和主句 -- 5.主句保留原样.
将被动语态的从句改为分词短语,比较简单,多数情况下,是去掉从句连接词和主语,将动词改为过去分词-ed形式就行了,表示被动含义.
注意两点：1.从句的主语是名词时,用它取代主句的主语,如第一句中的the young man
2.不是所有的联结词都一定要去掉,如需要动作先后连接的时候,使用before后者after；while有时也会保留.
