综上所述,以Halliday为代表的系统功能语言学派是当今世界上影响最大的语言学流派之一,在很多方面都取得了很大成就.但任何一个理论在不断发展的同时都要不断汲取其他理论的“养份”方可以不断进步和完善.任何一种理论都必须从其它理论汲取营养,才能有更大的提高,系统功能语言学本身也有一些不成熟的地方,也需要从其它相关学派或学科借鉴,以补充自身的不足.

To sum up,the faction of system functional linguistics ,represented by Halliday,is now one of most influent linguistics factions in the world .It has gained great achievements in several aspacts.But any theory has to continue improving and becoming perfect by absorbing "rich nutrition" from other theories as the development of itself.Any theory must absorb nutrition from others to gain greater advantage,so is it with the systemic functional linguistics itself which has also something immature and needs to draw lessons from other theories or subjects to supplement the inadequacy of itself.
