Recently, the topic of whether English should be tested in a reformed way has been heatedly discussed. Many believe the current evaluation procedures hinder students’ comprehensive abilities and therefore argue for a reform.
Personally, I am against this point of view. There are numerous reasons why I think so, but today I would only explore some of them. Firstly, I don’t think our comprehensive abilities are hindered. To my knowledge, many of my classmates are good at all the four skills of English. Moreover, the current testing system is nothing but the fairest way for students to get selected for college study.
