Ihaven't written many letters to you before,as we've almost always been able to pick up the phone and have a chat,so it's hard to know how to start.We all miss you and hope you're all right wherever you are.When you left us,it took a little while for it to sink in that I would never see you again.I guess it was a bit like you being away on a trip or those times when we didn't find the time to even speak on the phone for a week or so.I realize now there are too many things left unsaid as everyone always says and too many questions unasked.Silly thing really,like yesterday,when I was doing my washing,I wondered how you felt when you got your first automatic washing machine.Ican still remember the old machine you had when I was a child.Though,I guess I know the answers to most of the inportant things about you.

我以前没有写太多信给你,原来我们总是拿起电话,聊个天.所以（这次）也很难知道怎么开始（写信）.我们都很想念你并且希望无论你在哪里都能好好的.当你离开我们的时候,我的确花了好一段时间才告诉自己我将再也不能见到你了.有点像你离开去旅行或者是那段你连跟我通个电话的时间都没有的日子.我意识到普通人总在说起的好多东西,在我们之间却还没有提起,还有那么多没有问起的问题.比如昨天,当我洗衣服的时候,我傻傻的想问当你得到你第一台自动洗衣机的时候作何感想.我仍然能记起我小时候你的那台旧洗衣机.虽然我想那些关于你的问题的答案我是知道的.（可是我却还想亲耳听到你的回答）
