i had this stupid fantasy (about) being in love with someone,如果没有about反而更容易理解,起码自己说的话不会加about,对这句的介词about用法不懂,但经常能看到,只是当成“关于”去理解,但一定有更深刻的意义在.

(i think you would need a preposition anyway,even without the "about",it would be sth else as "of"in this case.we need this proposition not only to connect but to address the idea of what the previous one is about.)
